GAMZE ARAZ ESKINAZI

Gamze Araz Eskinazi graduated from Bilkent University faculty of Fine Arts, Interior Design and Environmental Architecture at 1991. After working as an interior designer for more than nine years, Eskinazi began taking glass blowing courses at The Glass Furnace in 2003. Since then she has been attending glass blowing workshops conducted by artists such as Davide Salvadore, Boyd Suguki, Petr Novotny and Rob Stern. In 2005 she has co-founded the brand "Camekan" with Yasemin Sayınsoy and Serkan Araz.

She has worked with glass production teams both on small and large scale projects that range from one of a kind art objects to architectural installations such as the commission work at the VIP building of Sabiha Gokcen International Airport (2009).
"While working in the hotshop, we are enthralled by the fluidity and the softness of the glass. We feel responsible to make pieces that bring joy into the world. Reminding us that simple blessings are available if we just take a moment to look.
