Convergence
Traditional design coming together with modern form.
In this course students will learn to refine their skills in traditional glass designing techniques with the use of cane and incalmo. They will then couple those patterns with modern forms and focus on teamwork. Sculptural and functional shaping will be discussed along with problem solving in the designing process. Students are encouraged to bring sketches, objects, and ideas for the class to work with. One year of glassblowing experience is required.
